Round - Round 04

Teams - Wests Tigers V Parramatta Eels

Date - 28th of March 2016

Venue - ANZ Stadium

The Parramatta Eels take on the Wests Tigers in Round Seven of the NRL Telstra Premiership on Monday 17 August 2017 with the clash officially celebrating the Blue & Gold’s 70th anniversary.

Traditionally one of the biggest games of the regular season, we’re expecting a huge turn out from the Blue & Gold Army to fill the stadium and help us celebrate our monumental milestone!

The Eels will welcome the Blue and Gold Army to our new home at ANZ Stadium for just the second time, let’s mark our territory and cheer our team to victory! Join us on Monday for a great afternoon of football, thanks to our game day partners at betting.club!

For the Parramatta Eels, who are coming off a 22-10 defeat to the New Zealand Warriors last week, Blue & Gold Head Coach Brad Arthur has named Clinton Gutherson at fullback in place of an injured Bevan French, Kirisome Auva'a in the centres and Brad Takairangi at five-eighth alongside Corey Norman at halfback.

Nathan Brown has been named at lock with Beau Scott moving to the bench alongside Peni Terepo, Daniel Alvaro and Siosaia Vave.

For the Wests Tigers, who are coming off a victory over the North Queensland Cowboys, new Head Coach Ivan Cleary has named an unchanged line up that claimed a victory for the first time with Cleary in the top job.

Historically, the Eels hold the advantage over the Wests Tigers, including an 8-0 victory at ANZ Stadium in the last Easter clash in 2016. However, in the last time these two sides met, the Wests Tigers came away 23-8 victors over the Blue & Gold.

The Eels enter this clash going down in their last four rounds in 2017, with the Wests Tigers snapping their own four-game losing streak with a win over the Cowboys in Round Six.

Kick off is at 4pm.
